about

recorded in 1991, Ah! studios, Jaggery St. Clyst.
Original recording lost until 2011 when the pub above the studio was demolished and a box of tapes found in the rubble by the builder´s parrot.

The song is based on a 1953 poem by Julius's father, Willy "Crash" Kohl after a vision he had during concussion sustained in a near-fatal motorcycle accident at Stevenage Summer fete.

lyrics

HOLO CAUST, BABY

To see the sky she runs out of the town
where fire is raining down
someone told me
fingers earth for ammo and supplies
hungry soldier's eyes
image frozen

You've come all this way just to see my holocaust, baby

She faces me, says farewell to her soul
a sister to us all
she's our pin-up girl
she's being hunted now
I turn over the page
she was all the rage
silently she says

You've come all this way just to see my holocaust, baby

Currently a toilet on a houseboat in Portugal, the office of Ah! introduces these gems to a new generation via bandcamp. x ... more
