about

'happy*', one of my favourite band names - happy* as in "happy' but you have to look for the adjunctive." I didnt get it at first, but loved the Ian Curtis as Elvis croon. Nick Cave would squirm with envy in his grave, but we'd have to bury him first. And then kill him. Nah, leav Nicky alone. Call him Nicky instead, that's a fate worse than being buried alive. Why are we picking on Nick Cave? Well, grumpy people pick on you, they must be driven from the tribal boundary and forced to squat in the jungle until recalcitrant. Happy was me. Can't say I was happy, but I was more or less pleased with most of this track. Larry Fermlin, the manager at the pressing plant, made a duvet cover based on the single sleeve artwork, which pleased me much more. I once slept over and found 50p in one of the corners. One with a circle of hands shaking, to do with Parkinson's disease or something.

I AM CURRENTLY UPLOADING SOME OF MY BETTER COVER VERSIONS FOR FREE because I like em. Bring on your litigants!

Currently a toilet on a houseboat in Portugal, the office of Ah! introduces these gems to a new generation via bandcamp. x ... more
